SCORE's 13,000 volunteers give free, confidential advice to
help hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs each year. SCORE
business coaches—men and women, working and retired—counsel
hundreds of thousands of small business owners from nearly
400 offices nationwide. All business counselors honor a code
of ethics that ensures client confidentiality and
professional conduct.
SCORE volunteers enjoy a variety of rewards. You can enjoy
the satisfaction of contributing to the success of others,
gain community recognition and respect as a mentor, provide
leadership in the community, grow professionally and
personally, participate in lifelong learning, and, of
course, make new friends.
As a SCORE volunteer you can share your success and
expertise, lead workshops and seminars, provide on-line
counseling directly from your home or office, or serve in a
leadership capacity.
You do not need to live in the area full time. Many of our
counselors travel in the summer months.
